FL (dB) = Pt (dBm) and Ct (dB) + Gt (dB), Pr (dBm) + Gr (dB), Cr (dB)

Pr: sensitivity at the receiving end Pt: power at the sending end

Gr: antenna gain at the receiving end Gt: antenna gain at the transmitting end

FL: Free space loss

3】 Free space communication distance equation:

FL(dB)=20 LG R (km) +20 LG F (GHz) + 92.44 can be converted to: FL(dB)=20 LG D (m) +20 LG F (GHz) + 32.44

By substituting the working frequency of Bluetooth BLE (2.4ghz) into the formula, we can get:

FL(dB)=20 LG D (m) +20 LG 2.4 (GHz) + 32.44

FL(dB)=20 LG D (m) +7.6+ 32.44

FL (dB) = 20 lg d (m) + 40.04

According to the above formula, we can know that the power of bluetooth signal has to increase by 6dBm when the transmission distance of Bluetooth signal is doubled. Therefore, the farther the transmission distance of Bluetooth gateway is, the greater the power of Bluetooth gateway will be under certain conditions.
